First meeting with candidates from the InQuire Research Incubator Support Program

After a series of individual meetings held by the InQuire team with all candidates selected for the InQuire Research Incubator program to support graduate students, the first joint working meeting was organized on February 3, 2021. During the meeting, the plan and program of 15 workshops were presented, as well as the way of connecting and cooperating with mentors-advisors and the opportunities that can be used within the program. The present candidates were given the opportunity to choose the day and time within which it suits them best to participate in workshops and ask questions and express their needs for support within the program.

The program is designed based on the InQuire Research Design Canvas Tool. The canvas tool is used to guide the research process from start to finish. The idea is to give candidates a blank canvas in the first session and one with all the questions to be answered by one good research proposal. Candidates are asked to mark all difficult areas to understand and those they consider to be well known or known. In this way, the program is focused on those topics that are the most important candidates and tailored to the candidates’ needs.

In the next period, according to the agreement with the candidates, we will start with the realization of workshops. After the first drafts of research projects are ready, the candidates will start consultation with their co-mentors.
